Mentoring and Befriending Foundation: Get involved

Get Involved

Volunteers are central to the mentoring and befriending community, each project relies upon local support from people of all ages and backgrounds. The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation is able to offer support and advice to organisations wishing to set up a mentoring or befriending programme and currently we are working with over 5000 programmes.

To see for yourself the difference that mentoring and befriending can have on individual lives, please take a look at the MBF's promotional video - "Friends in Deed". This is a short three minute promotional feature.

We offer a range of information, publications and resources for practitioners involved in mentoring or befriending.  For details of all our publications and resources see our MBF publications area. Organisations working in the mentoring and befriending field can also apply for membership to the foundation and join our growing community.

We also provide signposting information to individuals who want to volunteer as a mentor or befriender or to help those find a mentor or befriender for themselves or a friend.
