Benefits of membership to the MBF

The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation offers a comprehensive membership programme to all individuals and organisations involved in mentoring or befriending.

For the member, this offers numerous benefits:
  • Information and research updates –  a monthly e-bulletin detailing key developments within government policy, the voluntary sector and new research, as well as highlighting any relevant events
  • News round-ups – a monthly e-newsletter showcasing good practice and project updates on a regional and national level
  • Full MBF resources and research – new members are entitled to £30 worth of free resources, as well as substantial discounts on other publications, DVDs and guides
  • Events opportunities – members are entitled to discounted fees to a range of workshops, training programmes and our national conference
  • MBFs own magazine “Rapport” – published three times, a year full colour feature magazine is sent free of charge to all members
  • Members online forum – access to a members only area of the website including an online membership directory with full contact details and discussion forum – coming soon in 2007
  • Lobbying – the MBF will lobby and influence government policy on your behalf

Types of membership

Membership packages have been put together to reflect the mentoring and befriending community. Please see below to see what package suits you and your organisations best. All membership prices are for a 12 month period from date of registration.
  • Individual or single project membership with one named contact - £45
  • Muliti-project organisations with up to 9 contacts - £45 less 10% discount
  • Multi-project organisations with 10 or more contacts - £45 less 20% discount
  • Corporate membership - this applies to larger organisations which require membership for up to 10 named contacts - £200

How to join?

Joining is simple.  All you need to do is complete and return the membership application to enjoy the full benefits of membership.  A copy of the application form is available to download here.
